Brisbane’s Paniyiri Greek Festival to return this May

Get your stretchy pants ready: one of Brisbane’s most-loved culinary and cultural extravaganzas is back!

Following two years of Covid-related cancellations, the cherished Paniyiri Greek Festival will be taking over West End’s Musgrave Park for two days (May 21 and 22) of spectacular Hellenic-style celebrations.

First hosted in 1976 by a group of passionate Greek Australians, the weekend-long festival showcases all things Greek. Expect irresistible delicacies, plenty of Zorba dancing, fashion parades, live music and art exhibitions. Keen to enjoy the cuisine at home? There’ll also be insightful cooking demonstrations that will have you creating the ultimate Hellenic feast in your own kitchen. Challenge accepted!

An incredible way to experience one of the world’s most ancient cultures, Brisbane’s Paniyiri Greek Festival is yet to announce its 2022 programme.

Tickets are on sale now, so get in quick and prepare to indulge in mountains of honey puffs, baklava and souvlaki. It’d be rude not to, right?
