A fresh new face. An even better Place.

2020 has been a strange year to say the least. For Place, it’s been a year of milestones.

In September this year, Place turned 18. While it has been a tough year for so many, it’s still important to focus on the positives and celebrate the milestones. Around the world, turning 18 marks the passage into adulthood. It represents a new beginning and is a time for reflection and growth. To mark this special occasion, Place has taken the opportunity to evolve and grow with a carefully thought out rebrand and a move to one of Brisbane’s most iconic locations on James Street. These are significant steps, reflecting where we are headed as a business and a brand.

The rebrand brings a fresh, contemporary look to the business and aims to set a new standard for the Brisbane real estate market once again. It perfectly complements the move to James Street for our Head Office, Place New Farm and Place Projects teams. Not only is the location highly visible, it places us in the centre of one of our city’s most vibrant communities, the perfect location as we enter our 19th year in business.

 

 

The Brand

Since the inception of Place in 2002, the key to our ongoing success has been the strong emphasis we place on high-quality marketing. Standing out against the competition, our forward-thinking and inventive approach to marketing has pioneered the way for real estate advertising.

From the minute the brand was conceptualised, we have strived to push the boundaries in the Brisbane property market. When Place was born, it did just this. A vibrant agency that had screens in the windows, bright white offices, coffee machines in reception, a fleet of minis on the street, and a brand that drew on a feeling, not on someone’s name. At the time, it was everything that residential real estate wasn’t.

Innovation is one of our core values and continues to be at the forefront of everything we do. It’s that spirit that has driven our re-invention and we are proud and excited to be presenting a brand that modernises the Place vision and purpose.

The Place brand enjoys considerable equity so while our colour palette and typography were updated, we retained our name and our heritage with our “P” remaining as the central focus our brand.

 

The Head Office

A new Place to call home.

The new flagship Place building at number 10 James Street will house three different teams within the Place business: the Place New Farm Sales and Leasing Office, our Corporate arm – Place Professional Services, and the Place Projects team. It will also be home to our in-rooms Auction facility, adding another layer of service for our valued clients.

This state-of-the-art facility has been brought to life by our industry leading partners, with custom design by Collectivus and the interior fit-out by UNITA. Spanning 5 levels and 1100sqm, our new home features 20 meeting rooms and collaborative spaces, a concierge service and even a Get Smart-inspired “Cone of Silence”.

Excitement has been building across the Place network for months in the lead up to these important milestones, and we are excited that they can finally be shared with our community.

One thing that won’t be changing is our unwavering approach to customer service, getting the best results for our clients and fulfilling our purpose of helping people find their happy Place.

Place has achieved a lot in 18 years, continuously striving to be better and proving that we can adapt in the face of adversity. We look forward to continuing to serve the people of Brisbane with all of their property needs for the next 18 years and beyond.
